Breakdancing My Way Back Into Shape

We’ve taken a little break from rehearsing because of school and work but the action hasn’t stopped! New ideas are brewing and we’re still getting ready for our first performance.

Our show in February has actually been pushed back to late March. In the meantime, I’ve decided to get off my lazy butt and start working out again. Instead of lifting weights I’ve decided that I’m going to practice some breakdance power moves for about 45 minutes a day. It’s a really exhausting workout! I know that Zumba is a big deal right now but I would dare say that breakdancing is even more intense. Consider that a challenge all you Zumba zealots!

I’d like to get my skills back so I could potentially do some moves on stage. Let’s face it, my music is not hip hop, but I’ve realized that if someone can do some cool breakdancing moves it doesn’t really matter what kind of music is playing. Nobody would complain if a banjo player all of the sudden started spinning on his head during a show. I’m sure the audience would find something to appreciate about the spectacle.

Anyway, plan on attending! I’m not guaranteeing any crazy moves on stage. Still though, you never know what’s on the menu!
